That flash game archive that vanished overnight in 2018 still bugs me

Did you ever try the Wayback Machine for FlashMuseum? I managed to grab a few of my old favorites from a site called FreeFlashArchive before it went down too, but most of the actual game files are just dead links now since Flash itself is phased out. Some of those indie devs back then didn't leave any contact info or backups anywhere, it's like they vanished into thin air once Flash got killed.

TIL my old wired keyboard still works after 15 years in a closet

Yo but hold up - you really think finding an old PC with a native PS/2 port would be easier than tracking down a $3 adapter at a thrift store? Like where exactly are people just keeping Pentium 4 towers lying around in 2024? I mean sure if you're hoarding ancient hardware maybe, but for the average person that adapter hunt is way more realistic than digging out a whole ass computer that probably doesn't even boot anymore. Not to mention Windows 10 actually handling PS/2 through USB is pretty wild when you think about how finicky some of these adapter drivers can be. Did yours just plug and play or did you have to mess with any legacy settings in the BIOS or device manager?

I finally caught why my filler work kept failing after 10 years

Hold up though, 80 grit is perfectly fine for a final pass on filler if you know what you're doing. I've been using 80 grit as my last step for 15 years on auto body work and my primer never shows scratches because I lay it on thick and let it shrink back properly. The trick isn't the grit number, it's how hard you press and whether you're using a block or not. If you're making deep gouges with 80 grit, you're pushing too hard and probably using a DA with too much orbit. Denver guy might have had a point for his specific situation but that doesn't make it a universal rule.

Finally looked up the tolerance on a standard A2 tool steel end mill

Read that same spec sheet a while back and honestly it blew my mind too. Tbh from what I heard from a guy at a tooling shop the cheap import sets are all over the place, sometimes double or triple the tolerance of a premium brand. Ngl it just depends on who's grinding them and what they charge for QC.
