Had to pick between cheap frozen pizza or making dough from scratch tonight

I went with the $3.50 frozen pizza cause I was tired and lazy, but it came out soggy in the middle and now I'm mad at myself. Should have just mixed flour and yeast for 20 minutes and had something decent. Anyone else regret the easy route on a budget meal?

Is that dough recipe missing salt and oil?

Yeah I totally feel you on that, it's the worst when you're already tired and you think you're taking the easy way out and it just backfires like that. The soggy middle is such a letdown, especially when you were hoping for at least a decent meal. And @troykim makes a good point about salt and oil, I've messed up dough before by forgetting those and it turned out kinda sad and flat. Sometimes I think the frozen pizza is fine if you bake it on a preheated sheet or something, but when it fails it just makes you wish you'd put in the effort. Hope your next meal is better and less disappointing.

The $3.50 frozen pizza honestly sounds like a fine choice for a tired night. Ngl, I've had plenty of those where the easy route works out just fine if you throw it on a hot pan. Maybe it's not that deep, a soggy middle isn't the end of the world.
