What made you change your mind about mixing genres? I used to think sticking to one type of book kept things clear, but my own club read a weird mystery-sci-fi mix last year. The arguments were so good they actually got me to see stuff in the story I totally missed. It feels like shaking up the rules makes everyone dig deeper. Really glad your group had that kind of talk too.
