Serious question, does anyone actually read the sewing blog I found?
Last Tuesday I stumbled onto this blog called "Thread and Tension" where a guy in Ohio documents fixing vintage sewing machines from the 1950s. He had a whole post about a Singer from 1954 that he got working with a bent needle and some WD-40 after three hours of tinkering. I shot him an email asking about a bobbin case issue I had, and he wrote back in 20 minutes with a fix I never would have thought of. Has anyone else found a niche blog where the owner actually responds like that?

Ngl, that's the kind of stuff that makes me think the internet used to be way better in some ways. You got a real person who cares enough to write back in 20 minutes, not some automated reply or a bot. It's like the whole world got faster but people stopped actually helping each other out. Tbh, that's the real value in old niche blogs, they're run by someone who just loves the thing so much they can't help but share it.

Man, what's the tipping point where a blog stops feeling personal and starts feeling like a business?
