Well shoot, you know what nobody's probably thinking about? It might not be the anvil itself that's the real score, it's the story behind it. I've seen old blacksmith tools pop up in pawn shops and estate sales where the original owner had some crazy history - like a guy who made wagon parts for the Pony Express or a farrier who shod horses for a Union cavalry unit. Those kinds of things can double the price if you can prove it. Get a letter from your grandpa about where he got it or who owned it before him, and you might be sitting on a legit historical piece worth way more than just the weight of the steel.
