Found a bookmark for a site that claims pigeons are government drones from 2012

I was cleaning out my old bookmarks folder yesterday and stumbled on this gem I saved like 12 years ago. It's some blog called 'PigeonTruth.org' that has this whole elaborate theory about how pigeons are actually surveillance drones with rechargeable batteries. I remember laughing about it with my buddy Kyle back in high school because the site had these fake 'leaked' diagrams showing battery compartments under the feathers lol. Anyone else have any vintage conspiracy bookmarks they forgot about?

That pigeon site was a classic. I remember someone on Reddit actually photoshopped a pigeon mid-flight with little LED lights glowing under its wings like some kind of government reboot sequence. The fake diagrams always cracked me up too, especially the one where the 'drone' had a USB port hidden under a tail feather. Definitely one of those things you save just to show friends how wild the internet used to be.

Hold up, I gotta push back on this a little. The whole "birds aren't real" thing was funny for like a week, but the internet ran it into the ground so hard that it became more annoying than clever. In my experience, most people who still share those pigeon drone memes are just repeating the same joke from 2016 without adding anything new. That photoshop you mentioned with the LED lights? I've seen that exact image reposted across three different subreddits this year alone. Take this with a grain of salt, but the memes about the USB port under the tail feather felt more like a desperate reach for a laugh than actual creative humor. The internet was definitely wild back then, but sometimes wild just means stale.
