Blew a derailleur hanger in the middle of nowhere last Saturday
I was 15 miles into a gravel ride outside Austin when my chain got sucked into the spokes and snapped the hanger clean off. No cell service, no backup bike, just me and a multi-tool trying to figure out if I could limp it home as a single-speed. Has anyone else found a reliable way to quick-fix a broken hanger on the trail?

Oh man, that's a rough spot to be in. I once had a friend who got so fed up with trail breakdowns he started carrying a spare chain link and a small piece of coat hanger wire in his pack, and somehow it still didn't help him when his derailleur went.
