Hot take: Chair chat matters more than the cut
I spent years perfecting my blade work. Now I get that good talk is what brings people back.

Ever have that awful moment in the mirror at home when the good vibe from the chair totally wears off? I totally get it... like you had a fun time, but you're stuck with these weird, choppy layers for months. It feels so bad when you realize the cut just isn't right, no matter how great the talk was. That balance is everything, because a bad cut lasts way longer than that fun half-hour.

So you're saying the talk is the real skill now. But what happens when the chat is good but the cut is just average? I've had stylists who were a blast to talk to but left me with weird layers. Doesn't that balance matter more, where the cut meets the vibe? Or is a fun half-hour enough to make you forget a mediocre trim?

Wait, so you pay for a haircut or a friend? I mean, the vibe is nice but if I leave looking weird, I'm just paying to be sad for two months. Good talk doesn't fix bad layers.
