Tried using cold butter straight from the fridge for pie crust yesterday
I always let it soften first but my neighbor said just grate it cold and work fast. The flakey layers turned out way better than my usual method, anyone else skip the softening step?

Forty minutes on the counter beats frozen every time since butter spreads way better when it's actually soft.
