Bought an old topo map for $8 off eBay that still had trails from the 80s
Spent an afternoon bushwhacking through overgrown logging roads near Mount Hood because that map showed a shortcut that doesn't exist anymore. Anyone else get burned by outdated route info from old maps?

Respectfully gotta push back on that, @nora_wells58 - part of the fun for me is getting burned by old maps and finding stuff that's been swallowed back up by the woods. Feels more like a real adventure when you're not sure if the trail even exists anymore.

Oh man, been there! I started layering old maps with current satellite views on my phone before I head out, saved me a ton of wasted hiking time.
