Serious question, who else sees people skipping the bonding jumper checks?

I was doing a walkaround on a CRJ900 last Tuesday at the hangar in Memphis and noticed three different log entries from other techs that completely ignored the bonding jumper resistance on the flap actuator panels. That might not bite you today, but when lightning hits and the bonding path is over 5 milliohms, that actuator becomes a fire risk. Have you ever caught a similar oversight on a preflight or did I just get lucky with the inspection?

Respectfully, you might be overthinking this one. The bonding jumper checks on the flap actuator panels are important, sure, but those log entries could be from techs who tested it and found it fine, then just didn't write it up because they were busy. I've seen plenty of guys skip documenting stuff that's in spec because they assume anyone reading the log knows it passed. Plus, the real risk from a bad bond on a flap actuator is more about arcing than a fire, and 5 milliohms is actually pretty generous for most maintenance manuals. You got lucky with a thorough inspection, but I bet most of those entries were just not written down, not skipped entirely.
