Shoutout to the neighbor who complained about my primer fumes

She came over last week saying the smell from my garage was too strong. I was just doing a standard coat on a fender repair. People need to understand that some smells come with fixing cars. We work hard to keep things safe, but this is part of the job. A little patience from those around us would go a long way.

Ugh, people have zero tolerance for temporary stuff these days. It's like everyone expects every day to smell like fresh laundry, not a single whiff of actual work happening.

Right? Like everyone forgot what real life smells like. Hey @the_karen, you hit the nail on the head with the fresh laundry thing. People act like a little mess or a weird smell means the world is ending. I guess if your day doesn't feel like a TV commercial, it's a failure. But real work has a scent, and it's not always flowers and clean sheets. Maybe we need to bring back the smell of effort as a badge of honor.

Reminds me of my buddy who ran a small body shop out of his home garage. Someone called the town on him over paint smell, even though he only worked days. Totally get what @patel.quinn means about the smell of actual effort.
