Warning: That cheap grout sealer from the big box store cost me two weekends

I tried sealing my bathroom tile with a $8 bottle of grout sealer from Home Depot off Moreland Ave and it didn't even last through the first shower before water started soaking in. Ended up having to strip it all off with a chemical remover and redo it with a proper penetrating sealer that took three days to cure instead of two hours. Anybody else here find that the pricier sealers actually save time in the long run?

The grout I used said ready in 24 hours, but felt soft after a week. Cheap stuff bonds differently, almost like it needs a second chemical reaction. Three days is the sweet spot for a real cure, not just a dry surface.
