Put $350 into a ground-penetrating radar rental this weekend and it paid off big
I rented a GPR unit for two days to check a field in Ohio where old maps hinted at a forgotten homestead. Found what looks like a stone foundation and a metal cache about 4 feet down, which beats just digging random test pits. Has anyone else tried using GPR on a tight budget or found a cheaper way to scan for buried stuff?

You ever get that feeling where you're just staring at the ground hoping for a sign? I rented one last fall for a smaller project and it was nerve wracking watching the screen the whole time. That payout you found sounds amazing though, especially with the metal cache part. I spent a whole Saturday just gridding out a spot behind an old barn, and all I got was some weird pipe and a buried tree stump. But man, when that screen lights up with something promising you forget about the money real quick.

Totally. That screen zap is pure gold.
