Rant: Spent 4 hours chasing a weird hum in a fridge that was a 5 minute fix
Got a call for a Samsung fridge making a loud noise. Customer said it was a constant hum. I checked the compressor, condenser fan, evaporator fan, everything. Took the whole back panel off. After 4 hours of testing, I finally noticed the ice maker fill tube was vibrating against the cabinet wall. A single zip tie to secure it and the noise was gone. I felt so dumb for overcomplicating it. Anyone else ever lose half a day to something that simple?

Honestly, I used to skip checking the fill tube... thought it was never the real issue. After my own version of that four hour hunt, I had to change my whole routine. Now it's literally the first thing I look at on those calls. That stupid hum just gets into everything and tricks you. Saves me a headache every single time now.
