Found out the hard way about dryer vent cleaning last month

I did a job in a 1970s house in Phoenix where the dryer took 3 cycles to dry a load. Pulled the vent apart and found a massive lint clog and a dead bird. Has anyone else run into animals blocking dryer ducts?

took 3 cycles to dry a load" that's bad but I don't know about calling it a hard way. Sounds like you got the job done and maybe found a story to tell. I've pulled out dryer vents that were completely packed solid with lint and never seen a dead anything. Seems like the whole thing gets blown out of proportion sometimes.

Did you check the vent outside the house?
