Dub vs Sub debate got heated at my local anime club meeting last Friday
I always thought dubbed anime was for casuals until I watched Cowboy Bebop dubbed and realized the voice acting actually fits the characters BETTER than the sub, so is it really about quality or just gatekeeping?

Cowboy Bebop's dub was so good it made me forget I ever cared about subs.

Spike's voice just fit too perfectly... same with Jet. I still watch the sub sometimes but the dub just hits different.
