Spent $80 on a hand-cranked coffee grinder and it almost broke me
I thought I'd be all rustic and analog, so I bought this cast iron grinder from a little shop in Portland for 80 bucks. First morning, I'm cranking like a madman for 10 minutes just to get enough grounds for one cup, and my arm was sore by Tuesday. Has anyone else fallen for the 'simple life' hype only to realize some things are just better with a motor?

Ten minutes of cranking for one cup and you earned a gym membership on top of the bill.

Idk @caseyc30, I kinda see the appeal though. Ten minutes of cranking isn't that bad if you look at it as a tradeoff for not having to deal with a machine that might break or need expensive repairs down the road. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather put in a little physical work than deal with the hassle of another appliance.
