Walked into a new build yesterday and counted 7 keypads in one house
Three bedroom rancher, nothing fancy, and someone insisted on a keypad in every closet and the garage. Who needs 7 zones of arming on 1500 square feet? Anyone else run into customers who want an alarm panel within arm's reach at all times?

Seven keypads is crazy. Like, my last job had a guy who wanted one in the master bathroom right next to the toilet. He said he needed to be able to arm the system while he was in there so nobody could sneak up on him. Same guy had a keypad in the kitchen pantry, the laundry room, and one inside the front door closet. He said he liked having options. Its like they think the house is gonna get hit from every angle and they need to be ready to lock it down from wherever they are standing.

Wait, next to the TOILET? That is next level paranoia right there. @holly_craig I would have had to ask that guy what kind of movies he was watching to think someone is gonna sneak up on him while he's on the can. A keypad in the pantry is almost as bad, like you need to lock it down before grabbing a box of crackers. Honestly, having that many keypads just means you’re gonna accidentally arm the system when you bump into one taking out the trash.
