Switched to GPT-4 for my blog draft last month and saw a 30 percent jump in readability scores

I was using a simple AI tool before that just spit out dense paragraphs. After three weeks with GPT-4, my Hemingway app score went from 12 to 8. Has anyone else noticed a clear before-and-after shift like that with different AI models?

Hemingway scores are kinda overrated though. A 12 to an 8 sounds nice on paper but you could just turn down your passive voice filter and get similar results without paying for GPT-4. Those readability tools don't know if your blog actually makes sense to real people.

600 bucks a year for Hemingway Pro and I still write like a confused toddler on a good day. @theagarcia you're probably right that real people are the better judges anyway. My last blog post got a 7 on readability but three people in the comments said it read like a robot on NyQuil.
