Spent 6 months prompting ChatGPT wrong before someone corrected me

I was writing super long paragraphs thinking more context was better, but a friend pointed out my outputs were bloated. Turns out short instructions with bullet points work way better for code generation. Anyone else struggle with prompt length vs clarity?

Read something the other day from a guy who said he treats prompts like talking to a busy coworker. Short, direct, and only the important details. Made a lot of sense to me. Even with bullet points, some people still over-explain things. It's like they want the AI to understand their whole life story before writing a basic Python function. Took me a while to realize that shorter really is better in most cases.

Took me about 4 months to figure out the same thing actually. I was writing these massive walls of text and getting back rambling answers until I tried just listing 3-4 bullet points for what I needed and it was night and day difference.
