I used to think AI art generators were just for lazy people, then I watched a digital artist use one to fix a 3 hour rendering error in 20 seconds
Saw a streamer on Twitch last Tuesday who spent all afternoon on a character illustration. The lighting on the face was completely off, like the shadows were coming from two different suns. Instead of repainting the whole thing from scratch, she fed it into an AI inpainting tool and had it fix just the shadow layer. Took maybe 20 minutes total. I always figured these tools were for generating stuff from nothing, not for fixing real work. Got me thinking about how much time I waste redoing things that a smart tool could patch up. Anyone else find a practical use for AI that changed their mind about it?

Dude YES. Last week I was building a house in Blender and the roof texture was totally wrong after like two hours of tweaking. Ran it through an AI texture fixer and it matched the brickwork in like ten seconds. Felt like cheating but it worked PERFECTLY.
