Can we talk about the neat old travel journal page I found from 2003?

I was digging through old bookmarks and found a link to a travel journal from a backpacking trip in Europe. The page looks exactly like it did over twenty years ago, with broken image links and all. It's a small win for me because I've been feeling nostalgic about pre-smartphone travel. Reading through the daily entries and seeing the simple HTML layout gives a real sense of that time. For instance, there's a whole section about finding payphones to call home, which made me smile. It's just nice to see a piece of personal history still floating online. I wanted to share this little bit of joy with folks who get it.

That's such a cool find. Those broken links really make it a total time capsule.

Stumbled on my old LiveJournal a while back. Those broken images really do freeze time. Reading about payphones takes me right back. I used to carry a paper map everywhere. It's a good reminder of how travel used to be.
