TIL my whole 90s website navigation was backwards for like 2 years
So I was digging through my old Angelfire site from 1998 on archive.org last night. I had this sick frames layout with a sidebar nav. But I realized every single link was pointing to the wrong folder. I had "music.html" linking to "music.html" in the same folder instead of the subfolder. So basically anyone who clicked a link got a 404 or the wrong page entirely. What tipped me off? I found an old guestbook entry from 1999 where someone typed "cool site but your links are broken lol". Man I thought I was hot stuff with that animated fire gif too. Did anyone else ever mess up their file structure that bad back then? Or am I the only one who thought you just put everything in the root folder?

Wait did someone actually write that whole thing in the guestbook? That's wild, I didn't think people still did that
