Wasted $200 on a GeoCities "premium" template pack back in 98
Thought I was getting all these cool graphics and JavaScript effects but it was just a bunch of broken links and ugly clip art that looked like it was drawn in MS Paint. Anyone else blow their allowance on those sketchy template sites?

That $200 could've bought a lot of actual clip art CDs instead.

@hannahs71 probably had the right idea honestly. But man, those template sites were such a scam back then. What made you actually hit that buy button though? Like was there one specific template that looked so good you couldn't resist, or did their sales page just get you?
