PSA: I was teaching new players wrong for years

Totally agree, that "learn as we play" method is a game changer. I start with the absolute goal of the game and one basic action everyone can do on their first turn. Explaining scoring or special cases can wait until someone is about to do it. It keeps people from getting overwhelmed by details they won't use for half an hour.

My new spray booth fan was a total game changer

Wow, that actually makes a ton of sense. I always thought bigger fans just meant cleaner air faster. But you're right, I've seen that dust cloud swirl in my own shop when the fan is too strong. It just kicks everything up off the floor and then it all lands right back on the wet finish. A slower fan pulling air out steady seems way smarter now that I think about it.

Can we talk about the old movie rental place in Northridge that's now a thrift store?

Wow, I used to think those places were just outdated, but that's actually pretty cool.

I've been leaving my coolant concentration way too low for months

Oh man, that'll do it! I just mark my coolant tank at the fill line for the right mix, so I always add the right amount.

A quick warning about yeast storage after my bread disaster

Actually I see it totally different, @elizabeth102. My yeast was just taking a well-deserved nap! Sometimes it needs a little extra time to wake up and get going. I've had way better luck just being patient and keeping it warm. Calling it retired feels like giving up too soon. That stuff can surprise you if you just wait a bit longer.
