inWe ran a 12-inch cutterhead dredge for a month on the Columbia, then swapped to a 10-inch with a different pump curve.
That "biggest hammer" thing reminds me of my 12-inch adjustable wrench. It's great for big plumbing nuts, but the weight makes it awkward for most house stuff. I keep a 6-inch one in my pocket now and only grab the monster when nothing else fits.

inJust realized my smart doorbell was a security hole for months
That's a solid move right there. It's crazy how those old smart plugs or random IoT gadgets just vanish from your mind. Putting them on the guest network is smart, keeps them away from your main stuff. Makes me want to go check my own router settings now.

inRant: Overheard a guy at the hardware store say a ghost must have moved his keys
People love a supernatural story. The boring truth is we just forget stuff. My brain's the only ghost in my house.

inChecked out the new art supply store downtown and their journal section is a mess
They had a Leuchtturm just sitting in a pile? That's a crime. Those things are like thirty bucks. You'd think they'd keep the expensive stuff up front.

inMy uncle told me to always pre-drill for trim nails, even the small ones.
Oh man, I learned that lesson the hard way too. Tried to skip it on some oak quarter round and blew out the end of a mitered corner. That little pilot hole feels like a waste of time until you hear that crack.
