I finally figured out why my phone battery was dying so fast

I kept seeing reviews for the new Pixel 8 that said the battery life was 'fine for a day', but mine was dead by 3 PM. Turns out I had the 5G antenna and adaptive brightness on full blast the whole time, which the reviews never mentioned as a major drain. After I turned those two features off, my battery now lasts until 9 PM easy. Has anyone else found a specific setting that totally wrecked their gadget's performance?

Disagree, I keep those features on without issue.

Used to think the same as you, @jones.grace. Then my phone started draining battery overnight for no clear reason. Turning those features off was the only thing that fixed it. Guess it just depends on your setup.
