Stop cramming too many words onto one fridge magnet poem line

I kept noticing my poems looked like a mess until I realized using max 4-5 words per line makes everything way easier to read and lets peoples eyes actually follow the joke lol, anyone else struggle with packing too many magnets in a row?

Tbh I hard agree with this. Packing too many words on a single line totally kills the whole flow. The whole point of fridge magnet poems is the quick funny punchline, not reading a novel. Keeping it to 4 or 5 words max makes it way more satisfying to read. Ngl Ive made that mistake way too many times. Its just bad poetry otherwise.

Packing too many words on a single line totally kills the whole flow" yes exactly! I used to be so guilty of this where I'd try to cram like 8 or 9 words on one magnet row and it just looked like a jumbled mess. It takes all the fun out of reading it because your eyes don't know where to stop. I started following the 4 or 5 word rule too and it honestly made a huge difference for my poems. Now I actually get to laugh at my own jokes instead of trying to decode them lol. Its just way cleaner and more satisfying to slap together a quick punchline that actually lands.
