My accountant told me to raise my rates by 30% and I almost didn't do it
She said my Denver-based web design work was way under market after looking at my books for a quarter. I finally bumped them up for two new clients last month and they both signed without a second thought. Has anyone else been shocked by what they can actually charge?

A year ago I would've laughed if someone told me to raise prices 30%. I did 15% instead and lost two clients, figured that confirmed my fears. But I waited six months, tried 25% on a new project and same thing they just said okay. Now I'm wondering how many years I left money on the table.

That's wild, good for you. I mean, my experience has been the total opposite though. Every time I try to bump my rates even a little, I just get ghosted. Maybe the market's just super different here.
