Honestly, I was just looking through some old library books from the 90s and found out the first webcam was made to watch a coffee pot.

That explains why my own webcam feed looks like a sad, empty mug waiting for a refill. The ghost of that 90s coffee pot is haunting my video calls. Guess some tech just starts off lazy and never improves.
