Found a weird metal box in a ditch near the old mill road
I was walking my dog last Tuesday and saw something shiny in the weeds. It was a small, rusted metal box about the size of a deck of cards, with no hinges or obvious way to open it. I took it home and spent an hour trying to pry it apart with a flathead screwdriver before it finally cracked open. Inside was just a bunch of tiny, polished river stones. Has anyone else found something that was way more effort to open than it was worth?

Honestly, that flathead workout is the real prize. I've been there. My rule now is if it's sealed that tight and it's not mine, I just leave it. Last thing you need is to crack open some old container and find asbestos fibers or a hornet's nest instead of rocks. The mystery is never as good as the hassle.

My cousin spent three hours trying to open a locked ammo can he found in the woods, only to find a single moldy sock inside. That box of rocks sounds about right for that kind of luck. The universe just loves giving us a project for a prize that belongs in a driveway. At least you got a free flathead screwdriver workout out of the deal.
