PSA: That $80 leather journal from the shop in Savannah was a total waste

I bought it thinking it would make me write more, but the pages are so thick and slick that my fountain pen ink just smears. It's been sitting empty on my shelf for a year now, and I keep using my cheap, spiral-bound notebook instead. Has anyone else had a nice notebook that just didn't work for them?

That slick paper is perfect for art pens though.

My pens bleed like crazy on that slick paper, faith_schmidt, unlike my artistic talent.

Man that's rough! It sucks when you finally get in the zone and the paper just fights you the whole way. @faith_schmidt might have better luck with those art pens but regular ones definitely just turn into a mess on that stuff.
