Found a thread from 2004 where a guy was convinced his forum signature was a magic spell
It was on a tiny gaming forum called 'Pixel Keep' and the post count was exactly 666. He freaked out, thinking he'd summoned something, and the next 50 replies are just people messing with him. The whole thing is a perfect slice of early internet weirdness. Anyone else dig up a thread where someone took a number way too seriously?

My old guild leader banned the number thirteen from raid chat.

Sounds like someone had a real bad night on a thirteenth pull. That level of superstition is just asking for trouble in a raid group. What happens when you need to call out a stack on thirteen people? Do you just not talk? Makes you wonder what other weird rules they had going on. Honestly, that kind of leadership just creates more problems than it solves.
