Found a 2008 thread where a guy tried to fix his CRT TV with a magnet
I was digging through an old electronics repair forum and found this post from 'screenwizard42' in 2008. He said his CRT TV picture was all green, so he held a big speaker magnet to the side of the tube to 're-align the colors'. It just made a permanent purple blob in the corner, lmao. He posted a picture and everything. Anyone else find weird old tech advice that was totally wrong?

Re-align the colors" with a speaker magnet, that's a new one. I can't believe he actually posted a picture of the purple blob he made. That's the kind of fix that makes the problem a permanent art installation.
