My boss in Phoenix told me to never use a 6 mil vapor barrier on a slab, and the moisture test I ran last week proved him right.
The reading was 98% after 48 hours, so now I ask, what's your go-to thickness for a really damp concrete pour?

Ever try a 10 mil with a sealant?

Hey @anderson.spencer, is that the setup you're running? I saw a video where a guy tested a 10 mil with a spray sealant and it actually made the water behavior worse. The theory was that the sealant filled in the tiny pores the coating needs to sheet water, so it just stuck there in big beads. Made a mess. Seems like a 10 mil ceramic coating is already so thick that adding a sealant on top doesn't help, it might even fight the base layer. I'd stick with just a good topper made for coatings if you want extra gloss.
