Had to pick between a 12-foot plank and a 14-footer for a weird angled hallway in a 1920s bungalow last Tuesday.
I went with the 14-footer, thinking I'd trim it, but then spent an hour trying to pivot it around a corner that was basically a right angle, you ever have a simple choice turn into a geometry puzzle?

That "simple choice turning into a geometry puzzle" is SO real. Next time, try tilting the plank vertically to get it around the corner, it's a total game changer.

Tilting it vertically makes sense for a flat plank, but what about bulky stuff like a mattress? I've had situations where the height of the hallway itself is the problem, not just the turn. Do you just accept you're taking the door frame off at that point?
