Can we talk about that $150 laser level I bought for tile layouts?

It paid for itself in one big kitchen job by cutting my layout time in half, but what's a cheaper option that still gets the job done for smaller bathrooms?

I saw a video where a guy just used a long straightedge and a 3-4 foot level for small bathrooms. He'd snap one main chalk line and work off that.

Yeah that's the way to go for sure. A single solid reference line keeps everything square and prevents small errors from adding up. Makes the whole job way faster once you get going.
