My vintage lamp from the swap meet just... gave up
I bought this cool green glass lamp at the Pasadena Rose Bowl for $15, and it worked fine for about a month. Then last night, I turned it on and the whole thing just buzzed and went dark, no smoke or anything. Has anyone fixed a lamp with a weird buzz before, or is it a lost cause?

Fifteen bucks at the Rose Bowl? That's a steal even if it's dead. The buzz sounds like a bad wire or a dying socket.

A new socket and cord is the move, right? Probably takes like 20 minutes tops.
