Picked an FHA loan over conventional and it worked out fine

Me and my wife were stuck between an FHA and a conventional loan for our first house in Nashville. We went FHA because our credit was decent but we only had about 5% saved up. The inspection was stricter but it caught a bad roof we would have missed. Has anyone else gone FHA and regretted it later?

Heard FHA PMI is a pain to drop compared to conventional.

Yeah getting that PMI off is a whole process, way harder than just refinancing out of it.
