Question about a photo I took in a Chicago laundromat

I was shooting some expired Tri-X in a 24-hour laundromat on Belmont Avenue, trying to capture the late-night quiet. An older man folding his shirts saw my camera and said, 'You know, my wife and I met right by that dryer in 1972.' I got one shot of him pointing at it before he left. Has anyone else had a stranger just hand you a whole story like that?

Those moments are pure gold for street photography. Always be ready to snap that first reaction, because the real magic often fades after they start telling the tale. You captured something really special there.

But is it really that deep? Sometimes a photo is just a photo, you know?
