Just realized how much my fabric scrap sorting changed my design process
For the last six months, I kept all my leftover fabric in one big bin and it was a mess. Last week, I finally sorted everything by color and weight into clear plastic boxes from the dollar store. The difference is crazy. Now, when I'm working on a new skirt idea, I can find the perfect light blue cotton in under a minute instead of digging for half an hour. It's made me way more likely to use those smaller pieces for pockets or trim. Has anyone else found a simple organization trick that actually made you design more?
The "acting like I invented lightbulbs" part is so real lol. I swear half my creative breakthroughs are just me finally admitting the obvious works and acting shook about it.
