That week in July 2019 when I nailed 14 perfect shoes in a row, never had that luck since

Every horse stood like a statue, no wind kicking up dust, all four feet clean and balanced. I wish I knew what made that week special so I could bottle it up for the rainy days when nothing goes right. Anyone else ever have a streak like that or am I just chasing a ghost?

Oh man, that sounds like a MAGICAL week. My streak was more like "three decent throws then a horseshoe that bounced off a rake and hit my own ankle." Not exactly legendary status. But yeah, I totally get chasing that perfect feeling. It's like when you hit that one great shot in bowling and then spend the next three games trying to recapture it. Maybe the stars just aligned for you that week and they're too busy being jerks now.

Dang, that ankle thing sounds rough. What helped me was just walking away from it for a couple days. Let my head clear. When I came back I stopped trying to force it and just focused on the feel of the release, not the result. Took some pressure off and a few throws later I was back in the groove.
