Why does nobody talk about the time it takes to find a specific missing sock?
I spent 45 minutes looking for a single navy blue one yesterday, only to find it later that night inside a pillowcase after I gave up. Has anyone else had a missing item show up in a place that made zero sense?

What were you doing right before you put them there? I've done that when my hands were full and I was putting groceries away. It's like your brain just picks the nearest open spot.
