My bike chain snapped about 3 miles from home last Tuesday
I was cycling home from work through Riverside Park when my chain just let go with this loud ping sound. No warning at all, just sudden silence and a dead pedal. I had to walk my bike to a bench and pull out my multitool, but I didn't have a chain tool on me. A random jogger actually stopped and lent me his mini chain tool after I asked around for 10 minutes. Got it fixed in 15 minutes and made it home before dark. Has anyone else had a total stranger save them with the right tool at the right time?

Man, that jogger was a lifesaver... reminds me of my buddy Dave who had a similar thing happen with his car battery. Dead battery in a parking lot, no cables, and some guy just pops his trunk and hands him jumper cables without a word. Made Dave's day... said he passed it forward like a week later to someone else.

Love that pay it forward stuff. Small things really do come back around.
