Warning: hit 200 client facials in one week and my hands still ache

I just finished a week where I did 200 facials back to back. I thought I was tough, but my wrists and fingers are screaming. It made me realize how easy it is to ignore repetitive strain until you hit a big number like that. I started using better body mechanics and taking micro breaks, but I wish I had done that sooner. Has anyone else dealt with hand pain after a heavy booking week? What helped you get through it?

Used to roll my eyes at people talking about ergonomics and micro breaks in this industry. Figured it was just whining or trying to sell something. Then I hit a stretch of 150 something in a week last month and my right hand basically quit on me. Couldn't grip a towel without pain shooting up my arm. Had to tape my fingers together just to get through the last few days. That experience changed my whole outlook. Now I actually stop and shake out my hands between clients and I adjust my table height even if it takes an extra few seconds. Still feels a little silly sometimes but not as silly as barely being able to hold a coffee cup felt.
