A regular at my shop in Austin said my extractions were too fast, and I had to listen.
I used to think getting through a facial quickly was good service, but she pointed out that rushing the sensitive areas on her nose left it red for two days. Now I add a full five minutes just for that step, and the results are way better. Anyone else slow down after getting similar feedback?

Good point, speed isn't always better.

Yeah, exactly what @elliots49 said. Look at those fancy restaurant meals that take all day to cook. That slow process is what makes them so good. Or building a table by hand instead of just nailing some boards together fast. The slow way makes it last for years. Rushing just leads to mistakes you have to fix later anyway.

Respectfully, I see it a bit different. Sometimes going slow is just slow for the sake of being slow (like a restaurant that takes forever but the food's just okay). A good facial is about being careful and paying attention, not just dragging out the clock.
