Spent 45 minutes trying to get a stubborn light bulb out of a ceiling fixture, turns out it was a twist-and-lock that needed a quarter turn.

I was yanking at it like an idiot, almost pulled the whole ceiling fan down, and then my coworker walked over and twisted it like a bottle cap and it popped right out, has anyone else discovered a simple fix after way too much effort?

Wait, did you try turning it the other way first? Been there, felt dumb.

I gotta push back a little here @ivan873. I've done the exact same thing more times than I care to count, but honestly the bigger issue for me was always not checking if I had the RIGHT tool for the job in the first place. Like turning it the wrong way is a quick fix, but using a cheap wrench on a stuck bolt is what really makes me feel dumb for an hour.
