Had a week where every single roofing job went wrong
Monday a storm rolled through and ripped the tarps off three houses I was mid-project on, then Tuesday my delivery of shingles showed up with the wrong color and the supplier wouldn't swap them until Thursday. By Friday I had a crew member step through a rotted skylight and I had to drive him to urgent care in Abilene. Has anyone else had a stretch where nothing lines up and you just wonder if you should take a week off?

Are you seriously thinking about taking a week off after one bad one? That's like quitting a poker game after losing the first hand. Ngl every roofer I know has weeks like this where everything that can go wrong does go wrong. That's just the nature of the business. You get paid well because it's unpredictable and messy. If you bail every time the weather or supply chain messes with you, you're never gonna build a solid reputation or make real money. Honestly the guys who stick it out through the rough patches are the ones who end up with steady work and loyal customers. You gotta look at this as a learning experience, not a sign to pack it in. Take the weekend to reset but don't kid yourself into thinking a week off will fix anything.

Yeah I read somewhere that burnout in construction hits harder when you try to push through instead of taking a real breather. Sometimes a week off is what keeps you from making worse mistakes down the line.
