Can we talk about how overrated AutoCAD's dynamic blocks are for production work?
I spent three days building these fancy dynamic blocks for a project in Chicago, thinking they'd save me time on revisions. Turns out they just made the file huge and kept crashing when I tried to stretch stuff. Give me old-school regular blocks any day, they just work. Anyone else ditch dynamic blocks and go back to basics?

Remembered a job years ago where I spent a whole afternoon trying to get a dynamic block to rotate a door swing correctly, but it kept snapping to the wrong angle. Gave up and just drew three separate blocks for 30, 45, and 90 degrees. File was way smaller and nobody complained.

Hard disagree. Dynamic blocks are a lifesaver once you actually figure out the constraints. Bet you could have saved that afternoon with a quick angular parameter and a lookup table instead of making three separate blocks.
